What a Month!

It's been a difficult month for me with the loss of a cousin, the end of the school year, and the devastating and sudden loss of my dear Uncle Ken. I've been in Medicine Hat since June 30th and only just returned home yesterday.

My uncle died just two weeks short of his 50th wedding anniversary, so we stayed with my Auntie Ria until July 14th, to help get her through what was planned as a happy celebration. It is at times such as these when we learn how important our family and friends truly are.

On our way home we decided to keep to our planned trip to Vulcan, Alberta. I'm slowly building the record of our visit here. I took so many photos and have a lot of information about the place. I also played a fun reality game as well. Check it out.

We also visited a Place called Nanton, where there is a Lancaster Museum dedicated to the memory of the men who flew bomber missions over Europe during World War II. I'll be creating a page for that visit as well. It was an amazing visit with my daughter getting a history lesson and my father talking about memories of living in Deventer, Netherlands during the war. He and one of the board of directors of the museum shared awe inspiring memories.

Lost related now, as I was driving the back roads in the middle of Alberta I sped past a sign (I wish we had gotten a photo of it) that pointed the direction to LOST Lake! It is fun to see things that have absolutely no connection to LOST become that way because our minds are always on the show!
